The work at AMPM
Annual and extended servicing, commissioning, refills and replacements on commercial and residential sites. Signage and fire blanket checks alongside.
Your round is yours. Regular sites, known contacts, repeat visits. Volume is steady rather than frantic.
Progression is real: extinguisher technicians at Gemini have moved into fire alarm servicing and passive fire with training paid.
Kit, systems, standards
- Water, foam, CO2, powder and wet chemical units
- BS 5306-3 servicing and BS 5306-8 selection
- Digital asset tagging and certificates on the day
Tickets we look for
- BAFE ST104 or FIA extinguisher units
- Clean driving licence
- Trained in-house if you have the right attitude and a trade background
Pay
Every extinguisher role carries a salary band, with overtime on top; the number is agreed in conversation. Register and the guide comes to you when it is out.
Where you join the ladder
Apprentice → Mentor → Practitioner → Master. Technicians join as Practitioners; newly trained starters as Apprentices with a Mentor on the round. The Academy certifies where you already sit; nobody restarts at the bottom.
