An urgent hire for Gemini AMPM's passive fire team. You survey fire doors, write the report the client acts on, then manage the remedial and replacement work that follows: programme, installers, quality and handover. It suits someone who runs their own diary and does not need managing. The patch is Surrey, Sussex and Kent, outside London, with a van and a base in Burgess Hill.

The work
- Fire door surveys and inspections in occupied buildings: residential blocks, schools, healthcare, offices and managed estates, to BS 8214 and the manufacturer's evidence
- Clear, photographed, door-by-door reports with a defensible verdict: maintain, repair or replace
- Scoping and pricing input on the remedials and new doorsets your survey identifies
- Running the jobs that follow: programme, materials, installers on site, client liaison and resident access
- Overseeing installation of new fire doorsets, inspecting the work and signing it off with the certification pack
- Your own diary and your own patch across Surrey, Sussex and Kent, reporting to the head of passive fire
What we're looking for
- Fire door inspection and installation experience under a third-party scheme: BM TRADA Q-Mark or FIRAS
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant discipline: passive fire protection, fire door installation or wood occupations. FDIS or equivalent inspection qualification welcome
- Self-sufficient: you plan your week, write your own reports and chase your own jobs to completion
- Able to supervise installers and hold a standard on site without drama
- Comfortable with digital survey tools, photos and door schedules; reports that a client and a fire engineer can both follow
- Clean UK driving licence; living within reach of Surrey, Sussex or Kent. CSCS or SSSTS useful
