Small Works Install Engineer
£35k to £45k basic plus commission on the work you deliver, paid overtime, a van, workplace pension and employee ownership · Full time · Van-based across Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire

A new role in the Gemini AMPM small works team: the installs, upgrades and remedials that come off the back of a service visit or a survey, on jobs measured in days rather than months. Electrically qualified, with fire and security knowledge preferred. Your own van, your own patch across Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, and commission on the work you deliver on top of basic.

The work
- Small installs, upgrades and remedials across fire detection and alarm, intruder, CCTV and access control
- Jobs that run in days, not months: first fix through to commissioning, test and certification on the day
- Work that comes from our own service book, so you are fitting to sites and systems the company already looks after
- Your own van and a planned diary across Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, rather than a different end of the map every morning
- Commission on the work you deliver, paid on top of basic salary
- A back office that quotes, orders and schedules, so you are not chasing parts from a layby
What we're looking for
- Electrically qualified and experienced: this one is essential. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and 18th Edition, with ECS or JIB where you hold it
- Fire and security knowledge preferred: detection and alarm, intruder, CCTV or access control. If you have the electrical grounding we will train the rest
- Install experience from containment and cabling through terminations, panels, commissioning and test
- Confident on site with a client, and able to spot the next job worth quoting
- Clean UK driving licence
- Based in or around Surrey, Sussex or Hampshire
