The work at AMPM
Fit-out and refurbishment on commercial and residential estates: partitions, linings, doors and frames, skirting and architrave, kitchens and fitted joinery. First and second fix on project work.
Fire door installation and remedials sit next door: our passive fire team is FIRAS/BM TRADA scheme-based, and carpenters who want that ticket get trained into it. It is the busiest corner of the trade right now and it pays.
Repairs and making-good on maintenance rounds: a different site most days, a proper van, no cash-in-hand chaos.
Kit, systems, standards
- Commercial fit-out: partitions, linings, doors, frames, fitted joinery
- Fire door sets and hardware (route into FIRAS/BM TRADA certification)
- Site work to construction programme; maintenance and remedials
Tickets we look for
- NVQ Level 2/3 carpentry & joinery, or properly time served
- CSCS; asbestos awareness we can sort; driving licence
- Fire door experience a strong plus, trained if not
Pay
Bands published on each role and in the salary guide. Fire-door-certified carpenters carry a premium and we pay it.
Where you join the ladder
Apprentice → Mentor → Practitioner → Master. Time-served carpenters join as Practitioners; scheme-certified fire door installers as Masters. The Academy certifies where you already sit; nobody restarts at the bottom.
